RETURNS POLICY
It’s tricky buying art online and I want you to be 100% happy with your purchase.
What if my painting or print arrives and I don’t like it?
If you’re not fully happy with your new artwork I offer a refund agreement. Please contact me within 7 days by email and request a refund. Once a refund has been agreed the buyer is responsible for packaging and arranging the return delivery. The artwork must be returned in perfect condition – undamaged and unmarked. I cannot accept artwork if it is damaged or unsellable. Once the piece has been safely returned, I will refund your payment within 14 days.
What if my painting arrives damaged?
All work is carefully packed and wrapped when it leaves my studio. If you receive a work that has been damaged in transit, please contact me within 7 days. Take a photograph of the art and damaged packaging if possible as I will need this to notify the couriers.
FAQS
What medium are your original paintings?
I work in acrylic and mixed media when I work on board. When I use canvas I prefer to paint in oil. Regardless of which medium I'm using all my works are varnished in different finishes to ensure the work is archival, that means it will last over 100 years and it can also be removed to undertake restoration work.
What is your work painted on?
When I paint with acrylics I normally use cradle wooden boards or panels to increase the resilience of the pieces, often using golden leaf. For oils, I prefer using professionally prepared canvas as the texture of the canvas enhances the finished product.
Are your paintings framed?
I like to keep my work on board unframed as the perpendicular edges of the works are gilded and ready to hang. Furthermore, that gives the art collector the flexibility of choosing the frames if they wish to.
Some collectors prefer the work framed, so if you are local to me, I can arrange the framing on your behalf with an added fee.
Will my painting be ready to hang?
Both framed or unframed paintings are ready to hang.
Purchasing with a deposit?
If you are interested in my work but would like to pay in installments please get in touch.
How can I be sure to know about new work?
Join my mailing list to find out about new work before it is added to the website. You can also follow my studio progress on Instagram and message me directly from there if you see anything you like.
A painting I love has sold – do you have prints of it?
If there’s a piece that you’ve seen on the site that’s not yet in the print section, get in touch. My prints are made to order so potentially you could get exactly what you’d like in terms of size and budget.
Do you do special commissions?
Yes, I am always delighted to take on commissions. Let’s talk! Email me and we can arrange a time for a chat.
How are your prints produced?
My prints are Giclee prints. That means they are incredibly high quality reproductions of an original artwork. Giclee prints are specialist prints that use archival quality inks and are printed on 100% cotton rag acid free paper. This is very different from regular printing. The work and colours will remain lightfast for almost 100yrs.
Do you make prints of all your paintings?
No, but if there’s a work that you like that isn’t on my prints page then ask me I might be able to have a print made.
Can I order a print at a different size?
Most editions have some sizing options so you can choose what suits you.
Will my print be framed?
Because of the difficulty of shipping glass I don’t usually sell framed work. If you live locally I can arrange framing for you. Please email me at drmonicacuellar@gmail.com and add a message to your order. There are lots of online options available too like eframe for ordering mounts and frames online.
How will my prints be shipped?
Prints will be rolled and sent in an extra strong cardboard tube to make sure it reaches you in best condition.
